Amélie Losier (born 1976 in France) has been working and living in Berlin since 2001. From 1994 to 2001, she studied German Literature and History in Paris and Berlin and took classes at the Ateliers Beaux Arts of Paris. She moved to Berlin in 2001 and then studied documentary photography with Prof. Arno Fischer at the school "Fotografie am Schiffbauerdamm". Since then she has been working as a freelance photographer for national and international newspapers and magazines, cultural institutions and corporate publications.

She loves portrait work, street photography, and she also produces photofilms in her own projects. One of her main interest is the life of women and gender issues.

Losier teaches reportage- and portrait-photography for different art-institutions and universities, and is a member of the association for photojournalism FREELENS since 2011. She received several grands scholarships for her work (Academie of Fine Arts, VG Bildkunst, Grenzgänger, Goethe Institute). Her works was shown in many solo and group exhibitions, as well as published in books.
